#Willdoes Grant Awarded to Support Dorset Nightstop

#Willdoes was delighted to welcome Maddy Lewis-Smith (Service Coordinator) and Sandra (Volunteer Host) from Dorset Nightstop to the Willdoes Bus, where they accepted a cheque for £5000 to support the vital work of Dorset Nightstop.

Dorset Nightstop provides temporary accommodation for young people aged 16–25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Young people are hosted in vetted volunteer homes for short stays while the service works with them to secure safe, stable long-term accommodation.

Sandra, who has been a volunteer host for five years, shared:

“Every young person I have hosted has been different, but they’ve all been lovely. They are just going through a difficult time in their lives and need a bit of support to sort things out.”

Service Coordinator Maddy Lewis-Smith highlighted the ongoing need for volunteers across the county:

“We are always looking for new hosts across Dorset. You just need a spare room and a concern for young people and the difficulties they face. All hosts are vetted and receive training and ongoing support.”

Anyone interested in becoming a host or finding out more can contact Dorset Nightstop on 01202 525643 or visit:

#Willdoes is proud to support organisations making a real difference to young people facing difficult circumstances and thanks Dorset Nightstop for the incredible work they continue to do across the community.
