Vagabond Pilates raises over £800 for #Willdoes with outdoor community class

Lytchett Matravers, Dorset – More than 60 people rolled out their mats in a field outside Vagabond Pilates on Saturday morning to help raise over £800 for local youth charity #Willdoes.

The special outdoor class, held beside the studio's reformer space in Lytchett Matravers, attracted supporters from across Dorset, including Olympic cycling champion and #Willdoes ambassador Victoria Pendleton.

Blessed with clear blue skies and sunshine, participants gathered shortly after 7am for the fundraising session before staying on for coffee, pasties and a chance to catch up with friends.

Lesley Paddy, founder of #Willdoes, who has attended Vagabond Pilates for several months, said:

"It was an amazing morning. I have been attending Vagabond Pilates for several months now and it's really helped me. During lessons I focus and find peace, so to spend a morning with these incredible instructors in support of #Willdoes meant so much to me.

"I really want to thank Vagabond Pilates for their support and everyone who turned up."

The event was organised by independent studio Vagabond Pilates as part of its ongoing support for local community causes. The business operates studios in Lytchett Matravers and Blandford Forum and welcomed both existing clients and newcomers to the charity session.

CEO Vagabond Pilates Millie Gough said; “It was a privilege to work alongside Lesley to raise awareness of such an important cause and help bring the local community together. In a time when many people feel increasingly disconnected, we are proud to champion the power of movement, connection, and community.

"Community is at the heart of everything we do at Vagabond Pilates, and on Saturday our clients and supporters demonstrated exactly what that means. The generosity, warmth, and sense of togetherness shown throughout the event were truly inspiring, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part."

Funds raised from the event will help #Willdoes continue its work supporting young people across Dorset.
